Svolis Beachhouse – Beachfront villa in a picturesque bay – Karystos on Evia

Svolis Beachhouse is a holiday home right by the sea in a small bay near Karystos on the island of Evia (Euboea) in Greece. The house was built with a view of the sea – large windows and patio doors in many of the rooms offer views of the coast. You can hear the sound of the waves even from inside the house.

The beach is just a few steps away. The small, sheltered bay is particularly well suited for bathing, swimming or snorkelling and is also easily accessible for children.

The house offers several bedrooms, private bathrooms, and a spacious kitchen-diner and living areas. This makes the seaside holiday home on Evia particularly suitable for families, couples travelling together or small groups.

Terraces and outdoor areas extend the living space out into the open air and provide space for al fresco dining or relaxing moments with views of the sea and the countryside.

Svolis Beachhouse combines a peaceful beachfront location with easy access to the port town of Karystos, which is just a few minutes away and offers restaurants, cafés, shopping facilities and a lively promenade.

Everything about this house and its surroundings is perfect for a relaxing holiday. This was already our second stay here, and it certainly won't be our last. As a three-generation family, everyone found something they loved: snorkelling, scuba diving, boat trips, exploring the area, strolling through the harbour, enjoying delicious Greek food and, of course, swimming in the crystal-clear sea right in front of the house. Even in July, we often had the beach almost entirely to ourselves. A big thank you to Peter and Raukia for their wonderful hospitality. We enjoyed every single moment of our stay.

Svolis Townhouse – An urban oasis with a pool and garden – in the centre of Karystos on Evia

Svolis Townhouse is a holiday home for up to six people in the centre of Karystos on the Greek island of Evia (Euboea). The restored townhouse combines traditional stone architecture with a functional, modern interior design. The property features a private garden with a swimming pool – a rare combination in the centre of Karystos.

The main part of the holiday home (approx. 80 m²) comprises a bedroom, a bathroom and a living area with an open-plan kitchen. The accommodation is complemented by two separate guest cottages in the garden area:

A smaller, rustic room (approx. 12 m²) features a washbasin, a fireplace and a fold-out bed that can also be used as a sofa. The other guest cottage (approx. 18 m²) has a double bed and its own bathroom.

The private garden with a pool extends the living space outdoors and creates a peaceful retreat within the town. Restaurants, cafés, shops, the harbour promenade and several beaches in Karystos on Evia are all within easy walking distance of the house.

Die Lage ist ideal für alle, die Karystos gerne zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erkunden möchten. Geschäfte, Supermärkte und Restaurants sind bequem erreichbar. We have just spent a wonderful week in this beautifully renovated townhouse in Karystos. The house has been restored with great taste and equipped to a very high standard, providing everything you could possibly need during your stay in this lovely Greek town. The garden is beautifully landscaped with lush Mediterranean plants, creating a peaceful place to relax. The plunge pool is perfect for cooling off at any time of the day, while the different seating areas offer both sunny and shaded spots for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything is within easy walking distance. The harbour, cafés, tavernas and restaurants are just a few hundred metres away, and even the nearest beaches can be reached without a car. What made our stay truly special, however, was the warm welcome from Raukia and Peter. From the very first moment it was clear how much they care about making their guests feel at home. Their kindness, hospitality and genuine love for Karystos made our holiday unforgettable. If you are looking for an authentic Greek experience away from the crowded tourist resorts, this is the perfect place. We sincerely hope to return one day.

Our holiday homes in Karystos on Euboea (Evia) near Athens

With Svolis Townhouse and Svolis Beachhouse, we have created two very different holiday homes in Karystos on the island of Euboea (Evia) in Greece. Both houses are perfect starting points for exploring this special place.

Karystos is situated in the south of the island of Evia, about two hours from Athens. The small harbour town combines a lively promenade with beaches, mountains and a well-established local infrastructure. Cafés, restaurants and small shops characterise everyday life in the town. At the same time, Karystos is quieter than many other holiday destinations in Greece and has retained much of its original atmosphere.

Our two establishments reflect this diversity.

Svolis Townhouse is located in the historic centre of Karystos. The old stone house has been lovingly restored and combines traditional architecture with modern interiors. A private garden with a pool creates a secluded retreat in the heart of the town – a rare combination in the town centre. From here, the harbour promenade, restaurants, cafés and several beaches are within easy walking distance.

Svolis Beachhouse is located just a few minutes outside the town in a small bay right by the sea. The beach is practically on your doorstep, and the terraces and living areas offer views of the coast. Here, the focus is on a seaside holiday – with peaceful days on the beach and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors.
