Svolis Townhouse – An urban oasis with a pool and garden – in the centre of Karystos on Evia
Svolis Townhouse is a holiday home for up to six people in the centre of Karystos on the island of Evia (Euboea) in Greece. The restored townhouse combines historic architecture with a private garden and swimming pool. This combination is rare in the centre of Karystos and allows you to enjoy an outdoor space right in the heart of the town.
The holiday home is ideal for families, small groups or couples travelling together who are looking for a central location, separate sleeping areas and a private garden with a pool.
Room layout and sleeping areas
The main part of the house comprises approximately 80 m² of living space and consists of a bedroom, a bathroom and a living area with an open-plan kitchen. The house is complemented by two separate sleeping areas serving as guest houses in the garden – connected by a spacious terrace:
The smaller detached room (approx. 12 m²) features a washbasin, a fireplace and a fold-out double bed that can also be used as a sofa. The room has a very rustic design and is particularly suitable for children or guests who need an extra sleeping area.
The second separate guest house (approx. 18 m²) features a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, forming a self-contained living unit within the property. The division into a main house and two guest houses as annexes allows for flexible use to accommodate different group structures.
Living area and kitchen
The central interior area of the main house consists of a living room with an open-plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and designed for self-catering during a holiday in Karystos on Evia. Storage space, work surfaces and kitchen appliances make longer stays possible.
The living area serves as a communal space for meals and socialising. The interiors combine the building’s historical features with a functional and clearly structured layout.
Private garden and swimming pool

Wir waren mit unserem 6-jährigen Sohn unterwegs, der sich im liebevoll gepflegten Garten und im Pool richtig austoben konnte. Die Lage ist ideal für alle, die Karystos gerne zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erkunden möchten. Geschäfte, Supermärkte und Restaurants sind bequem erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit Raukia war von Anfang an herzlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder!
We have just spent a wonderful week in this beautifully renovated townhouse in Karystos. The house has been restored with great taste and equipped to a very high standard, providing everything you could possibly need during your stay in this lovely Greek town. The garden is beautifully landscaped with lush Mediterranean plants, creating a peaceful place to relax. The plunge pool is perfect for cooling off at any time of the day, while the different seating areas offer both sunny and shaded spots for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything is within easy walking distance. The harbour, cafés, tavernas and restaurants are just a few hundred metres away, and even the nearest beaches can be reached without a car. What made our stay truly special, however, was the warm welcome from Raukia and Peter. From the very first moment it was clear how much they care about making their guests feel at home. Their kindness, hospitality and genuine love for Karystos made our holiday unforgettable. If you are looking for an authentic Greek experience away from the crowded tourist resorts, this is the perfect place. We sincerely hope to return one day.
We had a wonderful time in Karystos, thanks to our lovely accomodation! Svolis townhouse is indeed a green oasis in the center of Karystos, beautifully renovated, equipped with everything you could wish for. Our kids loved the pool. Another plus: The location is very central – just a short walk to the harbour, restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here again!
The house is gorgeous and in an excellent location. Having a pool makes all the difference and was perfect for spending time with our grown-up children. The beach, the town centre and the supermarkets are all within easy walking distance. The owners were easy to contact before, during and after our stay. A wonderful place to stay – we'll definitely be back!
